The Record-Courier is reporting that the plan to revitalize Geuaga Lake is underway as trees are being cleared from the area.
The Geuaga Lake District will house homes, shops and office space. Among that will be a Menard's that will take up 24 acres on the parking lot side on Route 43. That complex is expected to be ready for 2022.
The history of the area will be remembered with historical markers and a replica roller coaster to pay homage to the history. Aurora and Bainbridge will spilt the income tax from the area, and Bainbridge might build a satellite fire station.
