I screw up a lot..
No, this isn't a cry for help and I feel safe at home...How something is supposed to go..rarely goes that way...Perhaps you can relate...
I wake up, check the calendar on my phone, and make a plan for the day..I might get a thing or two done the way I envisioned it....The excuses are many:
I get side tracked
Squirrel
Something more important comes along
Sloth
Something breaks, something takes longer than expected..
Amazon
I simply forget
And this isn't all about checking off a to-do list. If I don't straighten the tupperware drawer, I'm gonna be alright..I'm talking about everything that you want for your life on a given day.
Maybe you woke up and said you were gonna be more patient with your kids..... and then they recreated that one Tik Tok that landed them in the emergency room using your emergency money.
Maybe instead of counting sheep, you're counting peeps. Wow, that was 12 already?
Maybe the relationships you have in life sit differently in your head than in someone else's...
Maybe..you screwed up.
So you can do a couple of things when you know something is off..
You can try and fix it, screw up again, get discouraged and quit...Cue the drama and victimization...
Or you can realize that every morning..Is a new chance at success.
Every morning gives you the opportunity for a do-over..
I have to be honest, having faith in God is a tremendous motivator, because even if I get down on myself, I have Someone cheering me on. Wanting to please Him is just as important as pleasing those around me.. Thanks for that message Pastor Donovan.
Every morning...It's not just a mild hit from Sugar Ray..It's a new chance to get it right.
Failing is the path to success. And if that's true, I'm gonna be richer than Elon. And in most ways, I already am...You know, except for the whole bank account thing.
