My 7 year old son was diagnosed with Covid last week.
A year and a half after this all began, and it became our turn.
He had a headache...
That's it..a headache, and since we are overly-cautious and have been, we did a PCR..and then a rapid test.
Both came back positive, and then I tested positive 2 days later...and I'm vaccinated.
I will spare you the symptomatic details of it all. I will spare you how inconvenient it is or the strain on a super-busy family, because we all have things and there are those that have it far...far worse..I don't want sympathy, but I post this because I think there is a lesson that can be learned..
Find grace for people.
It is human nature to think our way of thinking is the right one. We back that up with “scientific” evidence, our “religious” credence, our upbringing, or because Facebook said so.
We are also super judgy.
You got Covid because you are reckless, you're an anti-masker, you don't think it'll happen to you, you hate Fauci, you love Trump, your parents never loved you, you watch Fox, your eyes are green, you think Adam Sandler movies are funny, you're black, you're white, you live in Florida, or just because..
It's still a pandemic...
You can do all the wrong things and never get it..Or you can do all the right things and suffer from it.
Have grace for people.
You don't need to agree with people or what they feel is best for their family..You might give your kids Taco Bell for dinner every night and I may think that's obnoxious, but...
Damn, that sounds good..I mean, maybe if you serve it with carrot slices?
Have grace..If you don't agree, pray on it. If you wanna throw science and expert advice into the mix.. pray on it before you vomit at the mouth or on a keyboard.

Have grace..amazing grace. It's amazing and it’s hard to do. Learn it, master it, strive for it..How sweet the sound.
