Airports are always hectic for the holidays, especially the week of Thanksgiving with increased travelers. Airlines aren't the only congested mode of transportation, the roads will be busy too.

If you're planning on travelling, be prepared for the heavy traffic to come. The auto traffic for this year's Thanksgiving and Black Friday week is looking to be nearly equal to what was seen prior to the pandemic. According to Triple A, about 20 thousand more travelers will be on the road per day than last year.
The best times to avoid heavy traffic are before 8am Wednesday or before 11am on Thanksgiving Day. The worst traffic congestion they say will be heading home on Sunday.
