Imperfect Foods is committed to reducing food waste, and it extends further than just delivering imperfect, quality groceries. It matters how they are delivered. This past year has been a challenge during the pandemic. Imperfect Foods has found safe and convenient solutions to return both the gel packs and insulated silver liners. These come with the orders to make sure they stay fresh and cold as needed. It begins starting April 12, thanks to the help of Recyclops
Imperfect Foods 3 easy steps to reuse and recycle delivery packaging:
1. After unpacking the order, please wipe down the insulated silver liner (s) and gel pack(s).
2. The night before the next delivery, place the insulated silver liner (s) and gel pack(s) in the same place orders are dropped off.
3. They will be picked up when the next order is dropped off. Imperfect Foods will sanitize all gel packs thoroughly, and refreeze them to use again. The insulated silver liners will be recycled into new household product packaging.
Limit 5 each at a time during pickup.
Boxes won't be picked up since they can be recycled curbside. As the program expands, so do the locations. Find out more here.
