With family brunches and long hugs out of the equation, people turned to social media to celebrate mom.
Much like us, musicians such as Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, and more took the opportunity to share heartfelt messages to their mothers. A mother's love and support is irreplicable and here's what those in the music world wrote to show their appreciation.
Taylor Swift
Swift has never been shy to share her love and appreciation for her mother. She took to Instagram posting a video from when she was 10 months old and wrote "my conversations with my mom have always been and will always be some of my favorite memories."
Beyonce
Showering her mother with love over a collage of photos, Beyoncé posted a heartfelt message telling her mom "My biggest goal in life is for my children to feel the love you make us all feel."
Ariana Grande
Grande kept it short and sweet by sharing a black-and-white photo of herself and mom Joan, as well as a photo with her grandma, and her puppy for good measure. "Everything @joangrande. I love u forever," she captioned.
Jennifer Lopez
"Being a mom is my greatest joy and happiness… My biggest challenge and my greatest triumph," Lopez wrote on Twitter before wishing all mom's a Happy Mother's Day.
Drake
Drake posted an adorable throwback photo from his childhood. "Happy Mother's Day to all the big time women out there doing the hardest work on gods green earth," he wrote in an Instagram post.
John Legend
Legend paid tribute to his wife Chrissy Teigen saying "our babies are so lucky to have you. I can't imagine our lives without your love, creativity, and spirit of adventure." He also shared a wonderful photo of both his and Teigen's moms calling them the "perfect grandmothers!"
Bruno Mars
Mars shared a great photo of his mom dressed in a wig pretending she was Tina Turner. He wished all the "workin mamas out there" a Happy Mother's Day saying "I hope you all feel the love today, tomorrow and forever."
Miranda Lambert
"Smart. Funny. Feisty. Life of the party. Hostess with the mostest. Beautiful. Makes the greatest meatloaf on earth," Lambert wrote in a tribute to her mom Bev on Instagram. The country superstar also wished a happy Mother's Day to all the "fur moms, stepmoms, grandmas and mother in laws!"
Justin Timberlake
Timberlake took to Instagram showing love to his mom as "a guiding force for this crazy ride!" He also shared a photo of his wife Jessica Biel with their kids saying "this family works because of your love and soulfulness."
Brad Paisley
Paisley shared a photo from the day his first child was born with both his wife and his mother by his side. "In these times, it's amazing to watch these moms adapt and become exactly what is needed. It's not easy, but it's so appreciated," he wrote.
