What a big weekend coming up for the craft beer scene in Atlanta. It's time to brush off the cobwebs from that holiday hangover and jump into 2020 with both feet. We've got great events, great causes and a bunch of great new brews coming your way.
BIG THINGS IN CASK ALEI know where there will be 55-plus exclusive beers for you to taste. All in one place. The 16th Annual Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting is Saturday (Jan. 11) will take place at The Bold Monk Brewing Company from 2:30 – 6 p.m. I'm not sure that'll be enough time to try all these wonderful creations, but be sure to give it a try.
HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAYThere's a party about to happen Saturday for Eventide Brewing in Grant Park. The brewery turns 6 years old and not only will they party all day, but have some special events, fun times and brews for the festivities. VIP tickets are still available and the Anniversary Ale has me drooling.
COZY UP AND DRINKIt's cool enough that Reformation is releasing Big Dippa on Friday, a double IPA with Nelson Sauvin and Southern Cross hops. Even more fun is how everyone's invited to the Canton and Woodstock locations for live music and star gazing as Jan. 10 is the first full moon of the year.
TEACHERS ARE THE BESTDid you know that all educators, faculty and staff get $1 off every beer on Friday from 3 p.m. to close at Tucker Brewing Company?
YES, SELTZER MATTERSScofflaw Seltzer dropped off $40,000 worth of Georgia Peach Hard Seltzer and Pog Hard Seltzer to the Westside Scofflaw location to give away for free. Any donations made for these seltzers will go to benefit The Kangaroo Sanctuary and the Australian Wildfire Relief.
