Mamba. Legend. GOAT. All words that are often used to describe one Kobe Bean Bryant. The sudden loss of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna sent shockwaves as Bryant had become one of the most beloved figures in not only the City of Los Angeles but the entire world. While Kobe had one of the most impressive careers in the history of the NBA, his greatest growth started happening as his career was winding down, as he was fully embracing the word that would mean the most to him: Dad. Kobe had an electric personality and every room that he walked in to was consumed by him. He had the look and souind of a television personality, but chose not to pursue television after his career was over. He was a leader. He posessed the rare ability to lead others and along with his knowledge of the game of basketball, coud've turned that in to a brilliant career as a coach in the NBA, but chose not to. Instead, Kobe chose to coach his daughter Gianna. They attended several NBA games together, where Kobe could always be seen teaching "GiGi" about the game of basketball. And Kobe even went out of his way to make sure that GiGi got the chance to meet one of her favorite NBA superstars: Atlanta's own Trae Young. Kobe and Gianna were even headed to a basketball tournament, where he would be coaching while Gianna played, when the helicopter that they were riding in went down. Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and the other seven people that tragicallly lost their lives after this horrific incident will be forever missed, and our hearts go out to their families after this tragedy.There are several words that can accurately be used to define the legacy of Kobe Bryant, but there is only one that he would use to accurately describe himself: father.
