Avalon's Winter Wonderland: A Season of Joy and Celebration

As the winter chill sets in, Avalon in Alpharetta is bustling with excitement, offering a range of festive events that cater to all ages. Nina De Christophano, Avalon's Marketing Manager, shares insights into the incredible array of activities that have the community buzzing. "We kicked off the season with our 'New Year's Eve' event for kids, which sold out in just three hours," says De Christophano. Designed as a guilt-free solution for parents, this playful event included a bounce house, face painting, and a photo booth, ensuring a memorable start to the year for the little ones.

Beyond the New Year's festivities, Avalon has introduced two standout winter attractions. Avalon on Ice, a Rockefeller-inspired ice rink, is a highlight of the season. "It's the same size as the iconic Rockefeller Center's ice rink," De Christophano remarks with pride. Open until January 15th, this picturesque skating experience is set against a backdrop of a 40-foot Christmas tree and twinkling lights, creating a magical atmosphere. For those seeking an enchanting evening, Twinkling on the Terrace offers an adult-oriented experience. The Hotel at Avalon has transformed its rooftop pool area into an intimate winter wonderland with cozy igloos and winter chalets, perfect for a romantic date night or a chic outing with friends.

Avalon's transformation into a winter paradise extends beyond these events. De Christophano paints a picture of a day at Avalon, starting with a warm cup of coffee at Cafe Antico and a pastry, followed by a shopping spree across various retailers like Anthropologie and Lululemon. "You can even get an ear piercing at Rowan or unwind at The Cape with their festive holiday cocktails," she suggests. With Avalon's open container policy, guests can stroll and shop with a cocktail in hand, adding a unique twist to the shopping experience.

The vibrancy of Avalon isn't limited to its winter events. The expansive 86-acre mixed-use development has much more to offer. "Many people don't realize the extent of Avalon until they visit," De Christophano explains. With a neighborhood, movie theater, and an array of top-notch restaurants like Cafe, Avalon presents an ideal destination for a day out. Whether it's shopping, dining, or simply enjoying a cocktail while exploring, Avalon promises a delightful experience for every visitor, setting a new standard for lifestyle and entertainment in Alpharetta.
