Born in Houston Texas on September 4, 1981, Beyoncè Giselle Knowles is the eldest daughter of Celestine Knowles and Mathew Knowles. As a young girl Beyoncè attended a Catholic Montesorri school. It was there she was enrolled in dance classes and her teacher discovered her singing abilities. Her interest in entertaining grew significantly after winning a talent show at 7 years-old. Beyoncè's parents enrolled her in performing arts schools starting from just elementary school. Naturally Beyoncè sang in her school's choir as well as her church's choir.

By 1990 Beyoncè teamed up with some childhood friends to create a girl group by the name of Girl Tyme. The group performed on Star Search 1992 and lost. After this the group went through some name changed and became Destiny's Child. By 1997 the group was signed to Columbia Records.

The group's self-titled debut album came out in 1998 featuring songs like No No No, Tell Me and Second Nature. By 1999 the group released their second album, The Writing's On The Wall and it went multi-platinum this album featured some of their biggest hits of all time including Say My Name, Bills Bills Bills and Jumpin' Jumpin'. During this time the group recorded their biggest hit, Independent Woman Part 1. Beyoncè wrote hit songs like Bootilicious and Survivor leading to the group's hiatus to try solo careers.

By 2001 Beyoncè was spreading her wings and working on solo projects, such as her acting debut in Carmen: A Hip Hopera and staring along side Mike Myers in Austin Powers Goldmember in 2002. By 2003 Beyoncè was the leading actress in Fighting Temptations starring Cuba Gooding Jr. By 2003 Beyoncè was making her mark on her solo career by appearing in Jay-Z 03 Bonnie and Clyde as her first musical project without Destiny's Child.

Knowles released her first solo album, Dangerously In Love, in 2003. The album featured her big hits, Crazy In Love and Naughty Girl. By 2004 Beyoncè won five Grammy Awards for Dangerously In Love. The album features different artists including Missy Elliott, Sean Paul and Jay-Z.

In 2004, Beyoncè intended to head back to the studio to make a second part to Dangerously In Love, but held off to focus on Destiny Fulfilled, the final album of the group. The album was released by November of that year and the group went on a final tour sponsored by McDonald's. By March of 2006 Destiny's Child accepted a Star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Beyoncè returned to the silver screen in 2006 and 2007 to work on Dream Girls and the Pink Panther. It was during this time she also released her second debut album B'Day. The album featured hits like Irreplaceable, Upgrade U and Deja Vu. By 2008 she and Jay-z were married and labeled one of the most successful couples of all time.

In 2008 Beyoncè debuts her alter ego Sasha Fierce with her album I Am Sasha Fierce. The album featured songs like Single Ladies, If I Were A Boy and Halo. By 2010 Beyoncè received another six Grammy's for her work on the album. Knowles expanded her success by creating a successful perfume line called Heat and worked with her mother on a clothing line.

In the early 2010s Beyoncè is flying high with the release of more singles like Who Runs The World and performances for the president, the Super Bowl and more. Her performance at the Super Bowl became the second most tweeted about event of all time with 268,000 tweets per minute. In 2015 she released her self-titled album which featured hit single Drunk In Love. By 2016 Beyoncè released her album Lemonade. The album focused on her personal struggle with betrayal and featured Formation. In response Jay-Z released a string of music to address the controversy surrounding the Lemonade album.

Presently Beyoncè has returned to the film industry in many ways including voice acting and creating epic tracks for recent movies. Some of the projects include her documentary Homecoming and The Lion King both released in 2019. Her 2020 project Black Is King was also critically acclaimed and she wrote songs for the recently released biopic called King Richard, which follows the story of the famed Williams sisters.
