TikToker Justin Agustin's video of the life hack has over 6 million views and claims that if you follow instructions properly you can fall asleep within just two minutes of closing your eyes.

It may sound crazy to fall asleep within two minutes after closing your eyes, but this hack developed by the military is worth the try.

"This technique was developed in the military to allow soldiers to fall asleep at any time, any place, even on the battlefield, when the environment is extremely uncomfortable and there's a lot of noise happening, sleep for a soldier is crucial," Agustin said.

It was developed mainly for fighter pilots who depend on sleep to have 100% of their reflexes and focus.

He goes on to give instructions, beginning with laying down flat on your bed and shutting your body down, relaxing each part of your body from your head and moving down to your toes.

Paying attention to your breathing is important throughout the technique. The goal is to relax each muscle from your forehead down to your shoulders, chest, and the rest of your body.

"Imagine this warm sensation going down from your heart all the way to your toes," Agustin said.

The next step is to clear your mind of all stress by thinking of these two scenarios: "1. You're lying in a canoe on a calm lake with nothing but a clear blue sky above you. 2. You're lying in a black velvet hammock in a pitch black room."

As you do this, if you get distracted, he says to repeat the words "don't think, don't think, don't think" for 10 seconds.

That's all you have to do. If you practice this every night for six weeks you should master the technique.

Agustin said that 96% of people who've done so can fall asleep successfully within two minutes of closing their eyes.
