History-Breaking all female space crew takes sail today

Katy Perry and Gayle King are making history as they soar through the sky and into space for the first time in an all female lead team for Blue Origin space flights.

UPDATE: After a successful landing, both Katy Perry and Gayle King kissed the floor stepping off the Blue Origin ship. and Katy shared some meaningful moments while out in space.

Among the six women in the crew are media icon Gayle King, pop superstar Katy Perry, and Lauren Sánchez, the Emmy-winning journalist and fiancée of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Joining them are Aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe, Hollywood producer Kerianne Flynn, and activist and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Amanda Nguyen.

The New Shepard rocket, named after pioneering astronaut Alan Shepard, is designed for suborbital flights and has become a cornerstone of Blue Origin's commercial space tourism program. This will be the company’s 31st mission, but it’s the first to feature an all-female crew—an inspirational milestone that blends science, celebrity, and social impact.
