We love a non-verbal rumor shut down, and that’s pretty much what Joe Jonas did with his latest post, sharing a black and white picture of himself wearing his wedding ring.
After reports had broken out that he and Sophie Turner were heading for divorce, Joe did the one thing he could think of to silence the speculators and posted a caption-less photo of himself, prominently showing off his wedding band.

Joe was also seen wearing the band during the Jonas Brothers' Sunday night stop on The Tour, as well as in his previous IG post, in which he plandidly posed with his bros, and wished everyone a Happy Labor Day in the caption.
The rumor was first brought to light on Sunday, by - yup you guessed it -TMZ, with reports citing that multiple sources said "Joe had his people contact and consult with at least 2 L.A. area divorce lawyers and he is on the cusp of filing divorce docs to end his marriage to Sophie."
The well-known celeb gossip media outlet also reported that Joe and Sophie have had "serious problems" for the last six months, and mentioned the absence of Joe’s wedding ring over the past few weeks. Making his decision to wear it on Sunday night and post it on Instagram even more noteworthy, and totally worth this in-depth discussion.
While Sophie was seen excitedly dancing in the crowd at the Yankee Stadium opening night show of The Tour, and even lovingly posting about it, many have decided to concentrate on the fact that she has not been present for any of the shows since (the one's Joe wasn't wearing his ring).
Backing up TMZ’s claims, People also confirmed that Joe had retained a divorce lawyer. However as of now, wedding rings have been placed back on fingers and neither Joe nor Sophie have spoken out about the claims.
That being said, despite Joe's ring dominant posts and all, on Tuesday it was reported by Today that Jonas had filed for divorce after four years of marriage.
Claiming to have exclusively obtained the petition for dissolution of marriage filed by Joe Jonas on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 in Miami Dade County, Florida, Today reported the petition states that "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.” And that while they reached out to both Jonas and Turner for comment, there’s no mention of a response.
