
Madonna closed out her Celebration Tour with a massive free concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil over the weekend, which drew a record 1.6 million fans to Copacabana Beach for the biggest show of her career.
Madonna opened up her guest list during the final career-spanning concert of her 2024 Celebration Tour on Saturday, May 4, with appearances from Brazilian artists Anitta and Pabllo Vittar, her daughter Chifundo Mercy James, as well as an opening medley with Bob the Drag Queen.

According to Live Nation, the concert turned Copacabana Beach "into the world’s largest dancefloor," toppling the previous attendance record of an estimated 1.5 million fans held by The Rolling Stones who performed there in 2006. The event also easily topped Madonna's own attendance record of 130,000 fans who went to see her at Paris’ Parc des Sceaux in 1987.
The free show, spread out over seven acts, marked 'The Material Girl's first concert in Brazil since her 2012 MDNA Tour – and featured a setlist packed with Madonna's most beloved hits from her over 40-year career, remixes, and a few cover songs thrown in for good measure.
