
All hail Christmas diva, Mariah Carey who is celebrating her fourth year atop the charts with her classic, “All I Was For Christmas Is You.”

That’s right! The musical queen of Christmas has done it again as, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” has climbed back to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart for the fourth December in a row.
“YAYYYYYYY!!!!,” Carey wrote on social media in response to the news. “Such an amazing surprise and an early Christmas gift!!! Thank you so much!!!”
The song has taken on a life of its own over the past few years and signifies the start of the Christmas season for many fans. It was first released in 1994 as a track on Carey’s album, Merry Christmas, which also features classics like, “Silent Night,” “Joy To The World,” and “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town.”

“All I Want For Christmas Is You,” landed in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in December 2017, and continued to make progress by squeezing into the top 5 in 2018. It has continued to see great success each year with multiple weeks in the #1 spot in 2019, 2020 and 2021. How many weeks will it spend at the top in 2022? We’ll have to wait and see.
