Disney's CEO Bob Iger has announced that they will temporarily combine Disney+ and Hulu into one app possibly with ESPN+ as well by the end of the year and they'll be raising the price of the ad free subscription. Iger says, "While we continue to offer Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ as standalone options, this is the logical progression of our DRC offerings that will provide greater opportunities for advertisers, while giving bundle subscribers access to more robust streamlined content, resulting in greater audience engagement and ultimately leading to a more unified streaming experience." This is all part of Iger's second term as Disney's CEO. This leaves Disney Fans wondering if this is part of an attempt to recover the damages caused by Former CEO Bob Capek in his two year run with the company. Bob Iger, 71, retired from the company in 2020 after more than 15 years as the company's CEO. Disney brought in Chapek and with him a reign of great customer dissatisfaction from their experiences in the parks and resorts as well as in their entertainment division. Disney asked Iger to return until they could find a better fit to enhance the Disney experience.
