The lyrics to "Winter Wonderland" are about two people falling in love. But a new study conducted in Poland found "walking in a winter wonderland" can also make you fall in love with yourself. The study found walking around in nature while there's snow on the ground can boost your self-esteem, and change how you feel about your body.
Researchers had women go on walks through the woods asked questions about body image before and after the walks and found it actually made a difference. The conclusion was 40 minutes of walking in the winter gave them a boost in how much they appreciated their own body, and upped their self-esteem. Other studies have found the same thing happens around lakes, rivers, and green spaces like forests, which leads us to believe nature is good for your mind, body and soul.
