For some of us in the Atlanta metro area kids will be heading back to school within the next week or two. Since we only have a short amount of time (are you smiling or crying?) with the kiddos at home, Jenn Hobby and Kannon are here to offer up some fun stuff to do before school starts.

Atlantic Station Tot Spot
Atlantic Station is one of the coolest shopping and dining areas in the country, and every second Tuesday of the month through September, kids 5 and younger can do story time, a sing-a-long, yoga, and have snacks. It's right on the green...the common-area park space there. Plus after you're done, there's plenty of other food and drinks to walk to for mom and dad. (wink)
Toddler Thursdays At High Museum Of Art
Perfect for kids like mine that like to get their hands dirty (then smear them on things). There's a weekly topic with related artwork, activities, and, of course, art making. 10:30-12:30 every Thursday. Pro tip: pre register.
The Art Barn At Morning Glory Farm in Canton
My one year old daughter is obsessed with animals. Here you can take a hayride, pet the animals, then head to the barn for arts and crafts. You have to pre-register for this one. (679) 319-0286
Jumping World (Kennesaw)
Does your child have lots of energy to burn off?? (that was a rhetorical question).Trampolines, foam blocks, balls, and more, all in a safe and monitored area. I know...pretty amazing.
My Favorite Pick:
The Battery Atlanta
Before you go calling me out for being "Mr. Obvious" for this pick, hear me out. Kids LOVE this place. Best of all, there's plenty of adult entertainment too. I'm sorry...best off all, KIDS LOVE THIS PLACE! That's what we're here for. Go during a Braves game. Even if you don't go into the game, they have a common area with a big screen to watch the game (watch the video of my daughter Charlotte running through this area making friends), plus the splash pad is legendary.(I also included a pic of her enjoying that). Obviously bring them a change of clothes.
