André 3000’s latest single, his 12-minute-plus instrumental track “I Swear, I Really Wanted to Make a ‘Rap’ Album But This Is Literally the Way the Wind Blew Me This Time,” made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 90, marking the longest-running song to make it to the chart, toppling the previous record-holder, Tool’s 10-minute, 21-second Prog-Rock anthem “Fear Inoculum,” with 120 whole seconds to spare.
The song, from the Atlanta rapper/producer/flutist and former Outkast member’s all-instrumental solo debut New Blue Sun, has also hit the number 1 spot on Billboard’s New Age Albums chart -- naturally. Check out the full tracklisting below and grab your copy now.
