Officially out as of today, 10/17, Breath of Fresh Air marks Gucci’s 16th album “since I been outta jail.” As far as total albums, Gucci’s so accomplished he’s actually “not sure.”

“I’m always excited when I drop an album, regardless of what it do, what it say," Gucci expressed. "You hope people appreciate it.”

Whether those tracks get radio airplay or not, Gucci knows his fans will always have this back, noting “none of this can’t be done without people like supporting me, coming to the shows and buying the music, buying the merch, supporting my artists. I think that’s why my fans rock with me like that, it’s cause they know I love them, it’s sincere.”

Gucci and Greg went on to share stories about one of those artists, producer Mike WiLL Made It. Gucci talked about a persistent Mike who waited outside the studio for several weeks waiting to show Gucci what he’s got. While Greg shared about a particular sweet moment while DJing Mike’s birthday party.

Obviously having worked with Mike WiLL on many a track before, Breathe of Fresh Air also features a collab with the two, “There I Go,” an extra special previously released single that also features J. Cole. “That was a special song," Gucci said about the track, “because it’s been in the works since 2020. Me and J. Cole just talking about how we wanna be in the studio.” Going on to share about the special experience of actually sitting in the studio with the acclaimed rapper, rather than just sending versus back and forth.

With 24 tracks in total, split between 12 tracks on SIDE A and 12 tracks on SIDE B, Breath of Fresh Air has been two years in the making. And now that it's officially out, Gucci expressed that moving forward he’s gonna focus on putting out music more rapidly.

“I wanna get back to like the old… just dropping music all the time, not just holding on to music. I wanna drop a solo album and then I wanna come back and drop another solo album.”

“It took me two years to come from this album to this album, like I don’t wanna do that again.”

Sharing his favorite track off the project, Gucci said, “I like the intro more than anything, ‘Must Be Me.’ I just feel like it's a more grown song that I made. It’s kind of like a reflection, personal song. I don’t do a lot of songs like that, so I feel like my fans are gonna appreciate that.”

"When they hear it, they’ll be like Gucci talking… what he regret, what he did wrong, what he did right, the good and the bad. And not just the flexes and the stuntin’… I’m talking about when it was bad… and you can make it through it… that song right there represent the whole album.”

The two also discussed some of the other features on the album that include Young Dolph, Key Glock, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, Nardo Wick, Kodak Black, Da Baby, 21 Savage and more. Check it out by listening to the entire interview above, and listen to Breathe Of Fresh Air, now available everywhere.
