After revealing she'd be “impersonating a different icon every day and teasing a snippet of the song they inspired,” as she counts the days leading up to the project release, Halsey’s latest great impersonation is none other than The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen.

Following up her previous spot-on superstar impersonations of Stevie Nicks, Dolores O’Riordan, Amy Lee, David Bowie, Cher, Kate Bush, PJ Harvey and Dolly Parton. For the Springsteen look Halsey chose to replicate, she went with the iconic “Born in the U.S.A.” photo shoot, in which he’s seen jumping in the air before strumming his brown electric guitar.

“This one requires no explanation, I’m a Jersey girl :),” Halsey who grew up in Edison, New Jersey, wrote in the caption. Also revealing Springsteen (who btw hails from Freehold), inspired the eighth track on the album, “Letter to God (1983).”

As Halsey previously shared, The Great Impersonator is “a confessional concept album” that sees the musician explore herself and her musical identity through the lens of different time periods, as if she were an artist during the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s. Featuring previously released singles “The End,” “Lucky” and “Lonely Is the Muse,” this latest offering marks Halsey’s fifth studio album, following 2021’s If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.
