LISTEN NOW: Inside Audacy's 'Most Played' songs and artists with Bru, Julia, and Katie Neal

From Post Malone and Chappell Roan to Luke CombsDua LipaJelly RollSabrina CarpenterTeddy SwimsTaylor Swift, and more, Bru, Julia, and Katie Neal are here to review them all as they discuss this year's standouts, and spotlight their personal faves from across the year.

Julia summed things up perfectly by stating the “Pop girlies took control this year” citing top artists Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Charli XCX who all saw massive success in 2024. “Everyone’s calling them the Holy Trinity,” she shared ahead of Bru and Katie predicting either Chappell Roan or Sabrina Carpenter will win Best New Artist at the 2025 GRAMMYs.

While the Pop girlies definitely showed up, Julia shared it was also a year full of success for “lovable, tattoo-faced men.” “I feel like we got the year of the very lovable tattoo-faced men,” she shared. “Jelly Roll, Teddy Swims, Post Malone. And they’re all just the sweetest and most talented people that we’re really got to see up close this year.”

Bru was eager to add a personal favorite male artist to that list by shouting out Benson Boone. “I just remember him coming in and us first meeting and everything and he just had one song and he was kinda fresh off Idol and wasn’t sure what this career was going to be,” Bru said of Boone. “Now he’s like — I don’t want to say Harry Styles status, but people go nuts for him an his performances are unbelievable. So happy for him and the tier he’s gotten to.”

Added Julia, “He’s one of those artists where you hear his songs on the radio and it’s incredible, but to see him perform — if you weren’t a fan of his music before, that makes you one for sure! He’s flipping, he’s doing flips while singing better than anyone!”

While Pop music had an exciting year, the trio of Audacy hosts were sure to give Country music its flowers as one of the hottest genres of the year. “Country Post Malone was one of my favorite parts of this year,” Julia shared before the three talked in-depth about Post’s more-than-successful Country crossover and mega single, “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen.

“I think the magic of that song was they did such a good job,” Bru said of the single, “the way they rolled that song out was just perfect and it’s probably because it’s so authentic.”

Looking to the future Audacy Country’s Katie Neal shared her 2025 prediction that Megan Moroney will continue her success into 2025 and be one of the genre’s biggest artists come this time next year. “I would bet all my money that Megan Moroney has an awesome year. She can do no wrong in my eyes… I don’t think I’ve ever heard another woman sing about the female experience the way that Megan Moroney does.”

Bru added he predicts Gracie Abrams will have her massive breakout moment in 2025 while Julia expressed she hopes to see more from Harry Styles in the new year after he stayed “pretty quiet” in 2024.
