The first payments went out to Americans on March 12.
Some of the new recipients include residents that the IRS previously did not have information on, but have since filed their tax returns.
The IRS continued to remind people that haven’t to file their tax returns for 2020 so they can receive all the benefits they’re entitled to under the law. In addition to the stimulus checks some people may be eligible for additional payments, including the 2020 Recovery Rebate Credit, the Child Tax Credit, and the Earned Income Tax Credit.
Individuals may check the status of their stimulus payments using the Get My Payment tool on the IRS website.
