Justin Bieber was just added as a performer at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards marking the first time since 2015 he performs at the show.

The VMAs made the announcement just days before the show gets underway. “The FEVER is real,” they wrote in an Instagram post. “Bieber fever that is.”

Bieber is set to join an impressive lineup of previously announced performers including Camila Cabello, Lorde, Machine Gun Kelly, Olivia Rodrigo, Foo Fighters, and more.

The “Peaches” singer leads the way with an impressive seven nominations at the 2021 MTV VMAs. Bieber is up for Artist of the Year, Video of the Year: “POPSTAR” (Starring Justin Bieber), Best Pop: “Peaches”, Best Collaboration: “Peaches,” Best Direction: “POPSTAR” (Starring Justin Bieber), Best Cinematography: “Holy,” and Best Editing: “Peaches.”

The 2021 MTV Video Music Awards will return to New York City on Sunday, September 12 at 8PM ET at the Barclays Center and will air on MTV.
