Katy Perry to receive MTV’s Video Vanguard Award at the 2024 MTV VMAs

Pop icon Katy Perry has been tapped to receive one of MTV's top honors -- the coveted Video Vanguard Award -- at the 2024 Video Music Awards, and will also perform a show-stopping, career-spanning medley of her biggest hits.

On Wednesday, September 11, Katy Perry is set to take the stage at the 2024 VMAs, added to the official performer's list today, joining Sabrina CarpenterChappell RoanCamila CabelloGloRilla, and Rauw Alejandro, and will be going home the latest MTV Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award winner.

Perry will find herself in perfect company among the award’s past recipients, which includes global superstars the likes of Shakira, Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott, Jennifer Lopez, P!nk, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and many more.
