As promised, Lady Gaga has served up what we’ve all been craving, a classic Lady G pop bop, “Abracadabra,” that evokes similarities to Gaga’s early releases like “Bad Romance” or “Poker Face,” an intentional move on the singer’s part.

Gaga debuted the fast-tempo dance track, and latest single from her upcoming album MAYHEM during Sunday night's GRAMMY Awards — not with a performance, but during a commercial break.

Gaga’s mid-GRAMMYs new track unveiling also included the song’s official music video. The spellbinding visual directed by Gaga, Parris Goebel and Bethany Vargas is described as portraying “a dance battle between the light and dark sides of Gaga,” per the press release.

Beginning with a cutesy nod to the video’s arrival mid-Recording Academy telecast, Gaga introduced it with a verbal preface — “The category is… dance or die.”

Throughout most of the video, Gaga and her dancers frantically dance dressed in white, as a looming threat of a “lady in red” (which is lyrically mentioned) nears. As the video hits the half mark of its 4 minute and 30 second run time, the aesthetic begins to shifts between the white etherial vibes and  Gaga as a crimson queen, donned  in a thorny head-piece sharp enough to draw blood.

MAYHEM will mark Gaga’s “return” to her “pop roots,” according to a release. The 14-track album, set to be released on March 7, will also feature the previously released singles “Disease” and “Die with a Smile,” the latter of which Gaga and her collaborator Bruno Mars won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance GRAMMY for during last night’s ceremony. The duo also took to the stage to perform an emotional cover of The Mamas and The Papas classic “California Dreamin',” dedicated to victims of the city’s recent wildfires.

It was just last week when Gaga finally began revealing details about what we’ve all been patiently referring to as "LG7." The flow of information began with a website countdown that went on to confirm what the sleuth-y folks on the internet had deduced via source code on the superstar's website — that Lady Gaga was indeed getting ready to unleash MAYHEM.

“The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” Gaga said in a statement, assuring fans her new arrival will not be a nostalgic throwback record but instead “reinvents her early sound with a kaleidoscopic approach that draws from her expansive musical library while embracing a fresh and fearless artistic perspective.”
