Mark Wahlberg paid tribute to his late mother, Alma Wahlberg, with a touching family photo after announcing her death on Sunday.
The "Patriot's Day" actor, 49, took to Instagram to honor the family matriarch with a picture of himself, his wife Rhea Durham, and four children posing with their grandmother.
The photo shows the group of seven embracing each other while smiling on a couch. He included the simple and heartwarming caption, “Miss you grandma❤️”
Wahlberg and his brother, Donnie Wahlberg, both announced the news on social media after her passing. Mark wrote, "My angel. Rest in peace," alongside a photo of his mother.
Donnie posted a video montage featuring video clips of his mother with a caption reading, "I'm so blessed to have been brought into this world by, raised by, taught by, and set on my life's path by, such an amazing woman."
He continued, "My mom Alma's joy for life, love and people - combined with a pride in her humble beginnings and refusal to forget where she came from - undoubtedly shaped me into the man that I am."
Alma was featured on the A&E reality show "Wahlburgers," which chronicled the fruition of the family-run burger chain operated mostly by Paul Wahlberg, the Hollywood Reporter noted.
Alma was the mother of 9 children and worked as a bank clerk and nurse's aide.
She was 78 years old.
