Megan Fox is speaking frankly about her issues with body dysmorphia.

The actress spoke with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit recently, as one of the magazine’s 2023 cover stars. She talked openly about her body and divulged she’s never been content with how she looks.

“I have body dysmorphia. I don’t ever see myself the way other people see me,” Fox said. “There’s never a point in my life where I loved my body. Never ever.”

The “Jennifer’s Body” star continued in the interview, saying she had a hyper-awareness of her body from a very young age.

"When I was little, that was an obsession I had of, like, that I should look this way, and why I had an awareness of my body that young? I'm not sure, and it definitely wasn't environmental because I grew up in a very religious environment where bodies weren't even acknowledged," she said.

Fox also commented on the public’s years-long obsession with her “short” thumbs.

"I never thought that was a weird thing or an embarrassing thing. They're just kind of short," she said. "Is that really that crazy? I think I have tons of other flaws that are way more interesting than my thumbs. I don't know why people focus on that."

"The journey of loving myself is going to be never-ending, I think," she said.
