After unveiling Carpenter as the cover star for the March 2025 issue of Vogue, the comments section filled up like a cup of “Espresso.” One of those fans was none other than Madonna.
“Is this a Valentines present to me? 👀🩵,” Madge commented on Sabrina’s post sharing the magazine’s cover.
Shot by longtime Madonna collaborator Steven Meisel, Carpenter’s high-fashion moment sees the singer posing in an baby-blue, satin, pointy bustier corset Dolce & Gabbana mini dress —a silhouette that needs no explanation when drawing comparisons to Madonna. Especially her 1990 Blond Ambition era, when she introduced the Jean Paul Gaultier cone bra.
And as has many folks on the internet have noted, it's giving Madonna 1991 Vanity Fair spread vibes.
Also approving of Sabrina’s model behavior, Heidi Klum commented what we’re all thinking — "Wow 😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Beyond Madonna and Heidi, other celebs also took notice of Sabrina’s glamorous shoot, including Lily Collins who wrote, “amazing 😍,” and Victoria Monét who added, "WAOWWW!!!!🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵 STUNNING!!”
Carpenter, who has often leans towards elements of vintage glamour and pop history in her aesthetic, has actually paid homage to Madonna before. Turing heads at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, wearing a white sequined Bob Mackie gown—famously worn by Madonna at the 1991 Academy Awards.
