
The 2024 BET Awards went down this weekend, and as per usual and expected, this year’s ceremony was a celebration of Black excellence in entertainment, filled with lots of memorable moments.

From Megan Thee Stallion opening the show with a scintillating performance of “BOA” and “Where Them Girls At,” to Tyla’s ferocious performance of “Jump” alongside Gunna and Skillibeng, this year’s award show was lit from start to finish
Plus, Victoria Monét put on a splashing display during her bumping performance of “On My Mama” and “Alright,” along with more from Ice Spice, Latto, Shaboozey, and Glorilla.
In addition to the incredible performances, R&B icon Usher was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from industry legends Baby Face, L.A. Reid, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
Usher was given his flowers with a jam-packed, star-studded musical tribute, including a medley of his hits performed by artists like Chlöe Bailey, Childish Gambino, KeKe Palmer, CoCo Jones, Tinashe, Latto, and more.
The evening also included Will Smith’s powerful return to music, with the debut of his new single, "You Can Make It,” a gospel-charged testimony, featuring Haitian-American singer Fridayy and the Sunday Service Choir. For the fiery performance, the Sunday Service Choir joined Smith onstage, along with Gospel icon Kirk Franklin, and Chandler Moore. Check out the entire performance below.
