
Pittsburgh’s Mission of Mercy are in need of volunteers for a free dental, hearing, and vision clinic at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
On August 5 and 6, more than 1,000 volunteers are needed to help with the free clinic that is returning for its fifth year.
The event brings together dentists, clinicians, opticians, ophthalmologists, nurses, and many others to support and help those who may not have access to certain parts of health care.
New services are being added for the 2022 event including eye exams, eyeglass fittings, and hearing care which include fittings for hearing aids.
According to the Mission of Mercy Pittsburgh, the following are needed for volunteers:
Dentists
Hygienists/dental assistants
Dental students
Pharmacists
Nurse and nurse practitioners
Physicians
Lab techs
Radiology
Vision imaging technicians
Opticians
Ophthalmologists
Refractionists
Audiologists
General volunteers are also needed for set up on August 4, act as ambassadors and assist with general hospitality.
