GRAMMY and Oscar-winning star Jamie Foxx is back in his R&B bag this Valentine's Day, looking for that special "Somebody" with new music, the first with the promise of more to come, and advice for all those in love this weekend.

Independently released through his Foxxhole Productions, Jamie is once again smoothing it out with his unmistakable soulful, heartfelt vocals, and a plea to help him forget about a certain somebody. "I've had this song for like, I've had the idea for this song for like 15 years," Foxx reveals to Audacy. "I'm an elder statesman in this music game, and I wanted to slow it down and really talk about something, that means something to me, you feel me?"
"The song came from, I had a heartbreak," Jamie admits. "With all the things that I accomplished, my heart was aching, and I knew it was bad because every time I blinked my eyes, I could see that girl's face. So, the song came to me, 'can somebody find somebody to get this somebody off my mind.' So that's how it started, then I got with J Young, I got with Sam [Pounds]. I got with Do Better, and they said, 'hey man, let's turn the equipment on and get cooking.' And so, I can't wait for you to hear it if you hadn't heard it already."
Overall Jamie asks fans to "just feel the music," hoping maybe the new song will help you reconnect or "reclaim" the love you're with. "I think music, man, music is healing. At the end of the day, us as artists, we're gonna show love, we wanna give love."
"Somebody" arrives right on time, with love in the air this Valentine's Day, so we had to get some advice from one of the coolest in the game. "My advice for people on Valentine's Day, if you can love, love," says Jamie. "I went through something not too long ago, man, and I said my second chance, I'm not gonna waste any time. I'm not gonna waste time not loving, so I'm gonna love. So my advice is love."
"For Valentine's if you can, whether it's small or going all out, do something for someone that you love."
