1 - Kristine in Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Nutcracker Sunday at Noon & Sensory-Friendly show at 4:30
This special performance, which will occur at 4:30 p.m., is for guests of all ages who are autistic, have sensory sensitivities, or other unique needs. The performance is relaxed, so guests can move around, stim and engage with the performance however they feel comfortable. Tickets range from $15-50. Find more information here.

2 - Day for parents to get Christmas shopping done while young kids go to day camp at Assemble

Friday, Dec. 15: Science of Sports Day Camp at Assemble, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For kids in grades 3-5, this day camp will teach all about the science behind one of Clemente’s killer hits. Sports will be used as the framework to teach about physics at this camp, which is free to Garfield residents.
3 - Celebrate Kwanza, Christmas and community at August Wilson Center Saturday
Saturday, Dec. 16: August Wilson Center Community Day: Holiday Edition, August Wilson African American Cultural Center, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The lineup of family-focused activities includes vendors selling jewelry, art and clothing. Enjoy live performances from Alumni Theater Company, Flow Band and Kwanzaa dancers and drummers. Families will be able to learn about Kwanzaa, engage in hands-on activities, and take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Registration is free. All the fun here at www.kidsburgh.org
