Sunday, May 28: Open Streets Pittsburgh, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Bring your bike, stroller, pogo stick or your own two feet to the first of three Open Streets events this summer. This route, which will go though Downtown and the Southside, features magic shows, pop-up art, local sports celebrities, and lots of wild costumes. Feel free to dress up! Open Streets Pittsburgh is a free event.
Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28: Pittsburgh Riverwalk & Chalk Fest
Back for its second year, the Riverwalk and Chalk Fest, sponsored by Riverlife, will feature 20 different chalk artists, food and drink options, and activities for the whole family. The event is free with a portion of food and drink sales benefitting the work Riverlife does to preserve the city’s waterways. Find out more details here.
3 -- Saturday, May 27: KayaFest Caribbean Food Festival, 3:30 p.m.to 10 p.m.
Come down to Smallman Street in the Strip District to enjoy Caribbean food, music, dancing and more. Music and samba dancing are free; food is available for purchase. Find out more details here.
