March is Women's History Month, and 100.7 Star is proud to highlight incredible women-led charities making a difference in our communities!
Each week, we'll shine a light on an inspiring organization founded and led by women.
A Glimmer of Hope Foundation (GOH) is a Pittsburgh-based breast cancer nonprofit founded in 1994 by Diana Napper in honor of her best friend, Carol Jo Weiss Friedman. What began as a jewelry fundraiser evolved into a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting breast cancer patients, with a focus on premenopausal breast cancer.
With the help of 50 dedicated volunteers, GOH has raised over $7 million for breast cancer research and programs at Allegheny Health Network, UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation, and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. Every donation stays local, making a direct impact in the community.
