83-year-old Margaret Mackie suffers from dementia and lives in a nursing home in Scotland.
Last month, one of her helpers sang a duet with her at their annual Christmas party and it was so good, he booked time in a recording studio with her.
They covered the Frank Sinatra song "My Way", and posted it to iTunes last week and less than 24 hours later, it hit number SEVEN on the iTunes U.K. Pop Songs chart.
You can buy it on iTunes for a buck. Just search for "My Way by Margaret Mackie."
All the proceeds are being split between two charities, the Alzheimer's Society and Dementia U.K.
A huge thank you to Jamie Lee Morley and Margaret Mackie (a resident with dementia in a care home Jamie works at) who've recorded their own version of Frank Sinatra's 'My Way' in aid of Alzheimer's Society and Dementia UK. Download now! https://t.co/Gl2qD2Srz7
