What a great song this is and I'm so glad we play it on Sunny. As soon as I play it people on the other side of the building can hear it blaring from the studio. LOL.
When Fine Young Cannibals first recorded "She Drives Me Crazy," the lead singer Roland Gift used his regular voice. The title at that time was orginally "She's My Baby." Not one person liked how it sounded so the lyrics and the sound of Roland's voice were changed. He sang in more of a falsetto voice for the new "She Drives Me Crazy" and everybody loved it!
This became their first #1 single in the United States. They had another smash just months later - "Good Thing."
