Quarantine can make it seem like time is standing still, and if it feels like being in lockdown has put additional stressors on your relationship, you're not alone.

Mathematician, Cambridge Doctorate candidate, and overall Really Smart Guy Bobby Seagull has partnered with Groupon to determine the amount of time co-habitating couples have spent together since lockdown began nearly a year ago. Kind of like calculating "dog years."

The math is....complicated; the formula is unique, and the upshot is basically every year in quarantine ages your relationship by a little over four years. It accounts for the increased amount of time spent together compared to a ‘normal’ year, as well as the boredom factor, since it's a lot harder to experience new things.
