Two more COVID-19 related deaths in Travis County as cases rise to 690

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Two more people have died as a result of COVID-19, as the number of confirmed cases in Travis County rose to 690 as of Friday evening.

Austin Public Health released the new numbers on the city's COVID-19 dashboard.


Information about the two latest deaths was not immediately available. So far, a man in his 30s, a woman in her 50s, a man in his 60s, and three women older than 70 make up those that have died from the disease in Travis County.

128 of Travis County's cases have recovered, officials say.

Officials are also revealing more statistics on current hospitalizations across the five county area. As of Friday evening's data update, officials say 89 patients are currently hospitalized, with 47 in intensive care and 31 on ventilators.
