AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Three more people have died due to the coronavirus, according to the latest numbers from Austin Public Health.
45 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed leading up to Friday night's update from local health officials, bringing the Travis County total to 1,074 cases. The three new deaths brings the number of fatalities to 21.
In a bright spot, the number of recovered cases continues to climb. 244 of the 1,074 cases are now considered to be recovered, officials say.
Hospitalizations across the area also continue to fall. According to the latest data for the five county area, 83 patients are currently hospitalized. 31 of those are in intensive care, with 24 on ventilators.
