AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Five more Travis County residents have died as a result of COVID-19, local health officials announced Monday evening, bringing the total to 65.
44 new confirmed cases were reported Monday, pushing the county's total number of confirmed cases to 2,171.
720 cases are now considered to be recovered, an increase of 7 from Sunday's report.
Across the five county area, 87 patients remain hospitalized, with 39 in intensive care and 21 on ventilators.
According to the latest data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, 16,583 tests have been conducted in Travis County.
