60 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death reported Monday in Travis County

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- 60 new cases of COVID-19 and one new death were reported Monday in Travis County, local health officials said.

Monday night's update brings the total number of confirmed cases to 1,816 and 53 deaths, with 542 cases now recovered.


According to state data, more than 12,820 tests have been conducted in Travis County.

Across the five county area, 85 patients remain hospitalized, with 33 in intensive care and 17 on ventilators.

Williamson County officials reported five new cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases there to 328. 191 have recovered, with 12 currently hospitalized and 10 deaths. According to state data, 3,714 tests have been conducted in Williamson County.

Hays County officials reported nine new cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases there to 176. 110 have recovered, with 5 currently hospitalized and 1 death. According to state data, 2,119 tests have been conducted in Hays County.
