AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- A number of area parks were closed Sunday afternoon after reaching full capacity.
City officials announced earlier this week they would begin monitoring capacity at Emma Long Metropolitan Park, Commons Ford Ranch Metropolitan Park, and Walter E. Long Metropolitan Park. Day passes and reservations will be required beginning Thursday.
All three parks were closed by 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Parks were also closed Saturday afternoon.
In addition, Travis County officials said that Pace Bend Park and Reimers Ranch Park were being closed Sunday afternoon due to crowding.
Officials said the parks will re-open Monday with limited capacity.
