
AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Four incumbents seeking re-election to Austin's City Council came out on top in Tuesday's election results, although two will need to fight through a runoff election.
District 4's Greg Casar and District 7's Leslie Pool easily fended off challenges, while District 6's Jimmy Flannigan and District 10's Alison Alter will face a runoff election on December 15.
A fifth seat in District 2 saw Vanessa Fuentes come out on top of three other candidates; incumbent Delia Garza will instead become the next County Attorney.
In District 6, Flannigan received 40% of the vote, and will face a runoff against challenger Mackenize Kelly who received 33%. Meanwhile, in District 10, Alter topped a field of seven candidates with 34% of the vote, and will face Jennifer Virden who collected 25%.
In District 4, Casar received two-thirds of the vote against two challengers, while Pool received 67% of the vote in District 7 against challenger Morgan Witt.
