AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Austin ISD will begin in-person learning Monday, with 25% capacity at its campuses across the district.
For elementary schools, that means Pre-K and Kindergarten students only. Middle schools and high schools are also starting off with the younger grades, with sixth and ninth grades making the return to campus.
Hundreds of teachers and staff across the district have requested medical accommodations; as of Friday, the district had approved more than 1,000 of those requests and only denied 11.
Under the district's four-week phase-in plan, campuses are set to move to 50% capacity on October 19.
