AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- School districts across Central Texas are putting the finishing touches on plans for the fall semester - with the start of classes set for the middle of next month.
Austin ISD Superintendent Paul Cruz joined Mayor Steve Adler for his "Got A Minute" Facebook Live series Monday night, saying the district has been preparing for re-opening campuses this fall.
"We will have 100 percent option for virtual learning for our students, and their families if they so choose," Cruz said. "Also, full time, 100 percent in person within schools. Now that's of course preliminary. This is what we're planning for. It could change at any point in time."
A hybrid option is still possible, Cruz said, if conditions change.
The district is set to start the fall semester on August 18.
District officials continue to work on their re-opening plan, which was updated last week. You can find a copy on Austin ISD's website.
