CEDAR PARK, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities are investigating after a Cedar Park police officer was struck during a pursuit Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened near the intersection of US 183 (Bell Boulevard) and FM 1431 around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. A suspect has been taken into custody; according to police the suspect kept driving and later crashed their vehicle in the 2100 block of Bell Boulevard.
According to a tweet from Cedar Park Police Chief Mike Harmon, both the officer and his K9 partner are in stable condition and are expected to recover.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is helping with the investigation.
