WACO, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- The City of Waco is ordering residents to shelter-in-place - the latest jurisdiction taking stronger steps in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Waco Mayor Kyle Deaver made the announcement Monday morning. The order goes into effect Monday night.
The move comes one day after Dallas County issued a similar shelter-in-place order.
"We must do this together if we’re going to get through this quickly," Deaver said.
McLennan County has identified 17 positive cases of COVID-19 as of Sunday.
