(Talk1370.com) -- Country music icon Kenny Rogers has died at 81.

Family members released a statement on social media early Saturday. Rogers died peacefully at home from natural causes, under the care of hospice and surrounded by family.

Rogers' career spanned more than six decades, with hits such as "The Gambler", "Lady", "Islands In The Stream", "Lucille", "She Believes In Me", and "Through The Years". He was a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame with 24 number one hits, six Country Music Awards, three GRAMMYs, and countless other awards and recognitions.
