Travis County: 206 new cases and 7 new deaths were reported Friday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 25,559 with 353 deaths. 24,238 of the cases are estimated to be recovered, leaving 968 active cases - an increase of 7 from Thursday.
190 patients are hospitalized across the five county metro area, with 67 in intensive care and 45 on ventilators. It's the first time the total hospitalizations has dropped below the 200 mark since June 23.
20 new hospital admissions were reported Friday, with the 7-day moving average of new hospitalizations steady at 27.
Williamson County: 41 new cases were reported Friday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 7,687 with 112 deaths. 608 cases are estimated to be active, while 71 patients are hospitalized - a decrease of 7 from Thursday. 28 patients are in intensive care and 15 are on ventilators.
Hays County: 20 new cases were reported Friday, pushing the total number of confirmed cases to 5,250 with 45 deaths. 2,780 cases have recovered, leaving 2,425 active cases - a decrease of 27 from Thursday. 20 patients remain hospitalized.
Bastrop County: 12 new cases were reported by DSHS on Friday, for a total of 1,513 cases with 25 deaths.
Caldwell County: 3 new cases and 1 new death were reported by DSHS on Friday, for a total of 1,198 cases with 31 deaths.
State of Texas: 4,651 new cases were reported Friday across the state, along with 370 backlogged cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 567,580. 258 new deaths were reported, for a total of 11,051. The 7-day positivity rate rose slightly to 14.38%. Hospitalizations dropped to 5,566.
